Amazing game. It's obvious it has been made with a lot of care and love :)  The level of detail put on everything is admirable: starting with the enchanting fan arts, the blooming panic backstory, the icons, the server and all characters. It really works as a compelling worldbuilding and while playing it'd be difficult not to get caught in the narration. Dialogues are also really well written, I think: all characters have their own unique voice and secundary characters are rich and endearing. Not once did I feel as I was reading a fictional dialogue: instead, it did feel very alive (kudos to the use of offline imputs). Even the rhytm of text being displayed contributes to the feel of the conversation. Also, I'd say the art* and the the digital medium are used in a very clever way to portray this game and that's why it works sooo well. In any case, congratulations! Looking forward to follow your future works :)

Oh, I understand! It's a lot of work for just one person. If you write stories I'd be very happy to read them, in the case you publish them anywhere. And btw I'm an illustrator, so if you need help someday with some project maybe I could help (during holidays or in my free time, I think i wouldn't mind :) ??

SPOILERS

Yes, but someone had to die before jajajaj

Hi! I've just finished playing your game and it was amazing! I've also been a fan since your early sim date days (oh, so much pain...) and I think I even got some "Whats your name" vibes while playing, which was really cool :) You can't imagine how excited I was when I discovered you were working on a new project! I've read and played all kind of things, however your work still stands appart from the rest in lots of ways. I think you have a way with words and it's quite rare to find such a good visual novel, well written and in which horror and romance are mixed together so skillfully ! (And in such mature way) I wish you all the recognition possible (and selfishly I must confess I hope you continue writting and creating stories like this one). Your work has something very special. Also, your art has always reminded me of the work of IJKelly, just in case you don't know it(?).  Aaaand well, congratulations again :)

SPOILER

SPOILER

(For a moment there I really thought Camille and Osgoode were getting a "happy" ending together... but! Suddently everyone died. It was as as if you were about to give in to happiness but in the last moment your instincts kicked in. )

Hello! I just wanted to say I played your game last night and I loved it! The lore was sooo great (really enjoyed every little thing you told us about imps and their possible meaning), characters charming and the plot entertaining. I found the art (specially the art made for the sprites) very appealing: full of personality, giving me kind of a "One Piece Characters" vibe. And I LOVED the change in the sprites for the main characters when changing pose: a bit rough but like, really, really charged of charm. Btw I understand it'd been hard, but actually I think backgrounds made with that combination of watercolors plus line would have work marvelous too !

Personally I would have liked an ending a little bit happier for Harold (some development for their situation, because they end up almost the same way they started), but if this is the presentation for characters and their world, I can get why.

And that's it! Congratulations for your game (because it was amazing, yes) and good luck with all your future projects!

Thanks a lot and good luck!

This is such a cute game! It really surprised me because I think I wasn't expecting dialogues so funny and full of warmth. They kind of make you wanna go out and look for friends like that? I couln't stop laughing while reading from Robin's POV. And the MC was sooo nice. Congratulations for the hard work and good luck with the rest of the project! !

A short, sad game. It tells a story in one of the most original ways I've ever seen. Beautiful

A beautiful and surprising game.  I thought it would be just entertaining but it tells a different story. Thanks a lot for making it :)

(1 edit)

Hello! I finally got to finish the game until the last chapter you uploaded and I just wanted to say (in my poor English, sorry) it's  an amazing work! I couldn't stop playing this past week and I'm really excited to find out what happens in the end so lots of encouragement on my part ! The story is so intricate (and so long!), characters so different from each other and interesting (and their sprites and style are perfect for them indeed), dialogue so full of rhythm and details and the mystery of the competition  hooks you up. It's not boring for a moment. I've followed your other works in the past and I must say I think you really know how to play with thoughts while creating stories. Like having a fresh perspective on how to present different ways to think before the player; not just telling a plot, but breaking the wall between us and the narrative to make us employ our brains (which is, yes, refreshing in a way). And all in a graphic way. It's amazing :) So anyway, good luck this week and keep up the good job!

Thanks a lot for answering! Well, I downloaded release XX when it was released but as I tried to update to number XXI it didn't work properly at the time (it gave error when I tried to advance the chapter and couldn't solve it and I didn't want to bother you) so in any case I decided to wait until the game was fully finished to keep playing  :) Buuut time has passed and given the current situation I wanted to keep going... Right now it only stops working when I click on the gallery (with or without actual saves on the Renpy folder). It doesn't happen anywhere else I think? But I'm a bit afraid it will end up freezing if I keep playing the game or on the next release so I don't know if I should try or keep waiting(?).  This is the Traceback:

I have deleted and reinstalled the game a couple times in different folders and I have started anew and apparently only the gallery is not working. Given it seems I can keep advancing the chapter I guess I'll try to play to see if it fails (?). Thanks anyway for your answer and your fantastic work! I don't know how the story is going nowadays, but it was amazing to the point I reached and I have been looking forward to continue :)

How do you update the game? It seems it keeps giving me error when I try to keep playing the updates :(

I can't seem to find him neither :( But cool work :)))

uhhh O_O
